Job Description
As a Cloud Ops Azure DevOps expert, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of cloud computing services. Your responsibilities include monitoring performance, resolving issues, and implementing backup and restoration processes. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and mitigating security breaches, as well as preparing and testing disaster recovery plans. Your data collection and analysis skills will be utilized to plan improvements to cloud computing components.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud computing services for optimal performance and minimal interruptions.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve cloud computing issues promptly.
- Perform backup, restoration, job scheduling, and system patching for cloud components.
- Monitor and report security breaches and unauthorized data access.
- Prepare and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with the cloud operations team to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the setup of a new cloud operations team, defining best practices, frameworks, and processes.
- Execute troubleshooting and performance improvements for cloud systems.
- Handle technical escalations and guide operations teams for complex incidents.
- Conduct proactive and reactive monitoring to prevent production issues.
Qualifications
- Work experience as a Cloud Engineer or a similar role is essential.
- Experience in supporting production environments and cloud operations is required.
- Proficiency in Azure Administration, Azure DevOps CI-CD, and Kubernetes is a must.
- Understanding of micro-services architecture and its functioning is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cloud auto-scaling, availability groups, and queuing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of network connectivity options, such as site-to-site and direct connect, is desirable.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Change, Incident, and Release Management, is a plus.
- Relevant certifications, such as Azure Fundamental or AWS/GCP/OCI certifications, are preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work in a team or independently, are required.
