The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting the organization’s cloud and enterprise infrastructure. This role focuses on cloud platforms, identity and access management, infrastructure as code, monitoring and observability, endpoint and network security, and data protection solutions. The Infrastructure Engineer II partners with IT Operations, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support business objectives.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to lead infrastructure initiatives and technical decision-making within their domain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations- Design, deploy, and support infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments.
- Maintain and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Support hybrid and cloud-native architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure-related issues.
Identity, Security & Access Management- Administer and support Okta for identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
- Implement and maintain endpoint and network security solutions including CrowdStrike and Zscaler.
- Apply security best practices across cloud and infrastructure platforms.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to remediate vulnerabilities and support audits.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation- Design and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of infrastructure resources.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation workflows where applicable.
Monitoring, Backup & Recovery- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability using Datadog or similar platforms.
- Support backup, recovery, and data protection strategies using Rubrik or comparable solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement- Work cross-functionally with IT, Security, and Engineering teams on infrastructure initiatives and projects.
- Document system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

WHAT YOU NEED
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred or commensurate experience. 4–5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, or systems engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong experience administering Okta (SSO, MFA, identity lifecycle).
- Experience using Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Experience with endpoint and network security tools including CrowdStrike and Zscaler.
- Experience with backup and recovery platforms such as Rubrik.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, routing, VPNs).
- Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Exposure to compliance and security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS 18) required.
- Understanding and familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks and software solutions
