We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to support the global Engineering organization. In this role, you will partner closely with all engineering teams managing DevOps infrastructure, process, and tools used across the organization. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership expectations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, values operational excellence, and understands that no task is too small.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage HA production-grade, on-premise Engineering Infrastructure including the respective Backup and Monitoring systems.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead DevSecOps transformation initiatives, driving adoption of modern practices across the Engineering organization.
- Administrate common tool and platforms including AWS, Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence, Guard), VmWare, Proxmox, GitLab, Nexus, JFrog, Cursor, and more.
- Help manage Engineering subscriptions, licenses, and domain certificates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across varying technical and organizational levels, clearly communicating technical concepts and tradeoffs.
- Contribute to documentation, architecture decisions, and operational best practices.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of industry experience; a background in Software Development is preferred.
- 5+ years of DevOps experience, including systems design and deployment.
- At least 1 year of experience leading or significantly contributing to a DevOps transformation initiative.
Operating Systems & Platforms
- Linux; experience with RedHat and/or Ubuntu variants a must
- Windows
- VmWare and/or Proxmox
DevOps & Tooling
- Jenkins, GitLab
- Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Guard)
- GitLab Package Registry, Nexus or JFrog
- Experience with SCA and SST tools
- Bash, Perl, and Make
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Experience designing and managing servers
- Managed network switches
- RAID arrays
- SNMP, SSO, NFS or SMB, PXE, and multipathing
Cloud Technologies
- AWS; including IAM, EC2, S3, and networking
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Pride in delivering high-quality work, regardless of task size
- Willing and able to come into either our Centennial, CO or Mendota Heights, MN office during core hours (Tuesday - Thursday 10am-4pm)
Preferred
- Hands-on experience in Engineering Computer Lab Environments
- Backup applications, Veeam preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with setting up mirrors for YUM/DNF or APT
- Experience with AI development tools like Cursor and GitHub CoPilot
- DNS, Active Directory (AD), LDAP

Anticipated Annual Salary Range: $165,000 - $190,000
The above pay range represents Quantum's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Pay within or outside of the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, knowledge/education, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
