Akkodis is seeking an
AWS Cloud Platform Engineer for a
Contract with a client in
Woodland Hills, CA. You will architect and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud platforms while ensuring reliable infrastructure operations and continuous optimization.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
AWS Cloud Platform Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure—including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB—to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable platform operations.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Terraform, GitHub, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Monitor cloud resources, implement alerting, and troubleshoot incidents across compute, storage, networking, and application layers to maintain high availability.
- Perform routine infrastructure management tasks including patching, updates, backups, OS upgrades, and firewall policy validation.
- Implement cloud security best practices, enforce IAM policies, and ensure compliance with organizational governance standards.
- Optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency through capacity planning, resource tuning, and FinOps‑aligned monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform operations, or infrastructure management.
- Strong hands‑on proficiency with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/GitHub) to automate provisioning and manage large‑scale cloud environments.
- Proven experience in cloud operations—including monitoring, incident response, security best practices, and scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell)—to maintain highly reliable and compliant cloud platforms.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
