Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Overview
We are partnering with a well-established technology organization building and operating large-scale, cloud-native platforms used across highly complex environments. This team is focused on modernizing infrastructure, improving deployment reliability, and enabling engineering teams to ship high-quality software faster and more securely.
This role sits at the center of infrastructure strategy and execution. You will design, build, and evolve automated CI/CD and cloud infrastructure solutions while serving as a technical leader across development, QA, and operations teams. The work is hands-on, impactful, and highly visible, with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, security, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
- Build and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation, SAM templates, Terraform, and CDK
- Automate application deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management within AWS
- Partner closely with software engineering, QA, and operations teams to improve the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle
- Lead infrastructure initiatives focused on automation, scalability, monitoring, security, and reliability
- Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues across environments
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, reinforcing best practices and knowledge sharing
- Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud services, and industry trends to continuously improve processes
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure role
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD for build, test, and deployment automation
- Deep knowledge of AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, IoT Core, Lambda, and IAM
- Proven experience with AWS CloudFormation and SAM templates
- Hands-on experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Preferred Experience
- AWS DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications
- Experience supporting microservices and serverless architectures
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tooling
- Exposure to Scaled Agile (SAFe) or other enterprise agile frameworks
