JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Senior / Principal Engineer to serve as a key technical leader and the hiring manager’s right-hand partner. This individual will help architect and sustain complex environments while bringing stability, guardrails, and long-term reliability to a fast-moving R&D organization. The team is strong in DevOps and rapid code deployment, but needs senior level expertise in production reliability, sustainability, and secure operations. This role is critical to moving systems from R&D into secure, scalable production environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to obtain a Secret, SAP, and TS clearance.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience within AWS, Azure, Cloud One
Knowledge of scripting languages and methods to automate processes.
Configure, deploy and maintain containerized systems using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and/or AWS Cloud Formation.
Creation and deployment of Linux and/or Windows system images and containers.
Developing on or serving as a system administrator for Linux systems.
Familiar with DevSecOps and GitOps Environments and Methodologies.
Configure and maintain environments in Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu).
Experience with Bash, Perl, or Python coding languages.
Professional experience with NIST Controls and DFARS.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience mentoring younger engineers and/or leading a team.
Experience with Platform One or Kessel Run .
Experience with administration of open source platform tools like Rancher, Harbor, and ArgoCD.
Active Security+ Certification.
Active Security clearance.
Expected pay is between $55/hr and $80/hr depending on experience and education!
