Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow DevOps Team Lead to lead our ServiceNow development and operations team. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions using DevOps and Agile/Scrum practices. You will oversee the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of ServiceNow applications, while fostering a culture of automation, quality, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers and administrators, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Define and implement DevOps practices for ServiceNow, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
- Oversee the development and configuration of ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, etc.).
- Manage platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and deliver value in sprints.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and ServiceNow best practices.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Monitor and manage platform health, availability, and incident resolution.
- Participate in and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical escalations and complex problem resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Mandatory Skills:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow DevOps module and pipeline automation.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical work..
- Used to work in European teams.
- Good to have Skills:
- Strong expertise in ITSM and related ServiceNow modules.
- Proven experience implementing DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, version control).
- Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- ITIL Foundation – a plus.
