About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes and solid
programming skills (preferred languages: Python or Java). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks to support our rapidly evolving applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available Kubernetes clusters (on-premises and/or cloud).
- Develop and maintain APIs, automation scripts and tools in Python or Java to streamline operational workflows.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient build, test, and release processes.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including networking, storage, and monitoring.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Ensure best practices in security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes administration (deployment, scaling, upgrades, troubleshooting).
- Solid programming experience with Python or Java.
- Proven expertise with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and API gateways.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring best practices.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and shift-left security.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
