Cloud Engineer

A national leader in online banking and FinTech is seeking a collaborative Cloud Engineer to join the FinOps product development team in creating and enhancing major cost-saving cloud-based applications. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate throughout and own the entire Agile SDLC to develop cloud-based FinOps products designed to efficiently optimize cloud usage and costs.
- Develop backend logic, API’s and UI’s, complete with testing and deployment ownership, as well as supporting an on-call rotation for production issues.
- Write and deploy Terraform packages to modify the cloud environment as well as container-based deployments.
- Build, test, and deploy microservices in an enterprise Agile environment, with a focus on compliance and high-quality product development.
Minimum requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience as a software or cloud engineer focusing on AWS cloud-based product development, owning the whole Agile SDLC.
- Significant hands-on experience in an enterprise AWS environment, ideally using Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, DynamoDB to manage and provision the cloud.
- Significant experience building cloud-based applications using Typescript, JavaScript, and Vue.js or React.js for the UI, and Python or Node.js. for backend logic.
- Hands-on experience deploying Terraform modules via Terraform code and container services (ECS, EC2, Docker).
