Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure)

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead our migration to Microsoft Azure within a regulated financial services environment. This role will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cloud architecture, networking, infrastructure automation, and identity management, and will partner closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to modernize our technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, including architecture, planning, and execution
- Design and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructure
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Manage cloud networking, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Implement and support SSO and identity federation using Microsoft Entra ID
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to optimize performance, reliability, and cost
- Support audit and compliance requirements and maintain system documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and migrations
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management
- Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes preferred
- Azure certifications and experience in regulated environments preferred
