Requirements
- Ability to manage time and projects effectively
- Solid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source (Puppet 4 or newer)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure
- Strong Unix/Linux system administration or DevOps background with automation experience
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills (comfortable speaking with clients and audiences)
- Experience interacting with clients and internal stakeholders (in-person, virtual, and calls)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with logical and analytical thinking
- Passion for working with Puppet and open-source communities
- Technical degree (CS/IT/Engineering/IT Security) or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Programming skills (Ruby, Python, Go, etc.)
- Windows system administration experience (including PowerShell)
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure
- Knowledge of data center management, networking, security, and monitoring systems
- Professional services experience in an open-source or enterprise software company
- Puppet Certification
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to design and implement solutions for faster and more reliable software delivery
- Deliver Puppet training sessions and workshops to customers
- Collaborate with the education team to update and maintain training content
- Provide pre-sales support to Sales and Marketing teams
- Develop, publish, and maintain Puppet modules and related products
- Build and promote integrations and tooling around Puppet solutions
- Contribute to blogs and other technical communication related to Puppet
