About the Role
Precision is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments
- Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS
- Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery strategies
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
- Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance standards
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Development
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, Subnets, VPN)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of monitoring and security tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with significant AWS exposure
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer – Professional) preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure / GCP)
- Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures
- Familiarity with cost optimization and FinOps practices
