GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Cloud Engineer role is responsible for designing, implementing, operating and maintaining the Cardinal Health Cloud Platforms environment. This includes various operating systems and cloud platforms. Assist in Design/Architecture of GCP, AWS, Azure or other hybrid cloud solutions. Help define IT and business processes that work well with cloud deployments. Troubleshoot technical issues and help drive issue escalation with other teams. Provide 24 X 7 operations for Cloud Hosting Services. Contribute and enhance Security policies, procedures and automation for Cloud Services. Implement System Management Tools to provide monitoring and management of all Cloud infrastructure. Conduct System Outage Analysis to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
Perform Cloud Infrastructure projects or tasks in a timely manner, as assigned by Product Manager or Management. This role requires an understanding of Multi-Cloud Platforms Technologies and Services, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), Terraform, GitHub and IT Operations based on ITIL Framework. The role’s primary focus is to provide build and operations expertise with a high focus on automation in areas such as performance, monitoring, logging, security, backups/HA/DR, compliance, and ensure the operations processes and standards are maintained in production. Other duties include documentation and service request fulfillment.
Other Responsibilities:
Support Multi-Cloud Platforms - GCP, Azure, AWS.
Partner with application teams and product management teams to provide support and operate cloud-based workloads.
Continually review and recommend improvements to operational processes, procedures and automation.
Pursue and recommend opportunities to automate anything and everything where possible.
Ensure Monitoring and Alerting Standards are tested in transition and followed in production.
Ensure migrated Cloud infrastructure solutions maintain compliance with Security and Governance standards.
Confirm the health of the service meets defined service level expectations.
Participate in incident management and communications, including follow-up with problem resolution post-mortem, and process improvement.
Support automation solutions for source, deploy, pipeline, configuration management.
Skillset:
• Experience with DevOps related automation tools and platform management services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Terraform and GitHub

Qualifications:
• 8 Year of experience with GCP, Azure and AWS, certification desired.
• 5 Years of experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• 8 Years of experience with monitoring enterprise systems.
• 6 Years of experience in data center domains (server, network, storage, security)
• 7 Years of experience with server and directory service technologies (Windows, Linux, AD, DNS)
• Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
• Security compliance experience
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives
• Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position
• Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who is able to successfully manage multiple priorities
