Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 – GitHub Administrator to support governance, security, compliance, and automation of the GitHub Enterprise platform.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in enabling enterprise DevSecOps practices, standardizing CI/CD workflows, ensuring audit readiness, and supporting secure software development lifecycle practices across multiple teams.
The consultant will work closely with development teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement GitHub governance frameworks and automation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server)
- Implement governance, compliance, and security controls across repositories
- Configure and manage RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies
- Develop and maintain GitHub Actions using YAML-based workflows
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Implement DevSecOps practices across the SDLC
- Manage audit logs, compliance reporting, and access reviews
- Automate administrative tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Implement GitHub Advanced Security features (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
- Analyze business and technical requirements and recommend automation solutions
- Create technical documentation, governance standards, and developer guidelines
- Support technical enablement and knowledge-sharing sessions
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Git-based version control administration
- 8+ years of hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server)
- Strong expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies
- 8+ years of experience with GitHub Actions and YAML workflow automation
- Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong experience with audit logging, compliance reporting, and access reviews
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices in CI/CD environments
- Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
- Knowledge of policy-as-code implementations
- Experience writing governance documentation and developer standards
- Experience leading technical enablement or training sessions

- Hybrid Role (3 days remote / 2 days onsite)

- Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CST)
- Must already reside in Texas
