DevOps Engineer (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team supporting the next phase of growth. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, driving automation, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable deployments.
You will work closely with software engineers, QA, security, and product teams to ensure infrastructure, deployment, and operational strategies are aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure, resilient, and scalable cloud infrastructure in Azure and hybrid environments.
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation frameworks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for SaaS and microservices-based applications.
- Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates into deployment pipelines.
- Manage code repositories, branching strategies, and version control practices.
- Oversee release management processes, including automated releases, rollbacks, and environment validation.
- Embed DevSecOps best practices for security, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Optimize cloud costs, resource usage, and enforce governance policies.
- Maintain consistent environments across Dev, Test, UAT, Stage, and Production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of infrastructure, deployment, and operational strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, HiTrust standards, and internal security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar).
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
