Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
• Creating and maintaining cloud systems and processes.
• Work with AWS to analyze issues and create solutions based on AWS best practices.
• Identify and implement automated solutions to support operational and development efforts.
• Monitor and manage AWS Cloud environment.
• Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.
• Maintains high standards of cloud operational quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Identifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Communicate with internal team and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
• Worker is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Client management from time to time.
Interaction with team:
- 12 folks on team are 3 cloud engineers.
Work environment:
5 days in office
Education & Experience Required:
- 5-7+ years or more of software development experience.
- No degree required
Technical Skills
(Required)
- 5+ years of Cloud Operations experience
- 5+ AWS or Azure-specific experience
- Experience working with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code deployments using AWS CloudFormation or Azure ARM Templates
(Desired)
- AWS Operations experience (CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, Health, Athena, Support)
- Additional AWS Certifications related to Cloud Administration, DevOps, or Architecture
Experience writing scripts in Python, PowerShell, Bash or other interpreted - language
- Experience in automating & implementing IAM for cloud infrastructure
- Prior operational experience with Cloud Service Providers other than AWS (preferably Azure)
