DevOps Developer
About Energective
At Energective, we are the tip of the spear for tech in the oil and gas industry. We aren’t just adapting to the future; we are building it. We are looking for a driven, hands-on DevOps Developer with a solid foundation in Python, SQL, and Cloud Infrastructure to help us build and scale the next generation of energy tech.
The Role
As a DevOps Developer, you will bridge the gap between development and system operations. You’ll work directly with our technical leadership to write production-ready automation scripts while ensuring our deployment pipelines and cloud environments are fast, secure, and efficient. This is a role for a builder who loves clean code as much as they love a seamless, automated deployment process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop & Automate: Write clean, efficient Python code for core product features and internal automation tools.
· CI/CD & Deployment: Build and maintain robust deployment pipelines to ensure our software moves from dev to production smoothly.
· Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize secure, high-performance environments within AWS and Azure, focusing on "Infrastructure as Code" principles.
· Data Reliability: Help architect and maintain complex SQL queries and ETL pipelines to support our data-heavy applications.
· Rapid Prototyping: Swiftly design and iterate on new features and automation scripts, turning concepts into working solutions at a fast pace.
What We’re Looking For:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field.
· Experience: 1–3 years in a developer or DevOps role. You understand the development lifecycle and are ready to take on operational ownership.
· Python: Strong proficiency in Python for both application development and scripting/automation.
· SQL: Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
· Polyglot Mindset: While Python is our primary language, proficiency in additional languages (e.g., C++,HTML, Java, or JavaScript) is a big plus.
· Cloud & Automation: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure. Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a significant advantage.
· Industry Knowledge: Direct experience or familiarity with the Upstream Oil & Gas sector and Hydrocarbon value chain is a major plus.
· AI & Modeling: Hands-on exposure to AWS Bedrock for AI-driven workflows or familiarity with Digital Twin technology is a big plus.
· Problem Solver: You thrive on untangling technical bottlenecks and finding the most efficient path to a stable, scalable solution.
· Work Style: Highly self-motivated. You can manage a project independently but are a proactive collaborator who prioritizes system uptime and team success.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Note: No automated filters or black holes here. Every single resume submitted for this role will be hand-read by our team.
