We’re seeking to connect a Senior Cloud Engineer with a leading company in the insurance industry on a full-time basis. The role is hybrid and located in Livonia, Michigan. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a passionate, motivated team and leverage your expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, security, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevSecOps, and architecture teams to design and implement secure AWS cloud environments.
- Break down infrastructure initiatives into actionable Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Design multi-account AWS architectures with strong governance, security, and compliance controls.
- Implement cost optimization strategies, tagging standards, and budget monitoring practices.
- Architect secure networking solutions including VPCs and hybrid connectivity.
- Enhance observability, monitoring, and incident response capabilities across cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure automation.
- Proficient in AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and governance best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
- Terraform experience
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect or Security Specialty preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
