Position reporting to Senior SAP Advisor and COE Lead
Role Purpose
Lead the establishment, governance, and scaling of a unified Enterprise DevOps Framework across Parles SAP and non‑SAP technology landscape.
This includes creating standardized CI/CD pipelines, embedding DevSecOps, enabling SRE practices, and implementing ReleaseOwl and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) automation for predictable, secure, and efficient Releases.
Key Responsibilities
1) Enterprise DevOps Framework Design & Governance
- Architect the DevOps operating model, governance structure, standards, and reusable patterns.
- Establish branching standards, environment strategy, quality gates, and separation of duties.
- Publish and manage the Parle DevOps Playbook across SAP, BTP, Integrations, Data, and Application teams.
2) CI/CD & Automation Across SAP + Non-SAP
SAP Landscape (Mandatory)
- Implement CI/CD for SAP using ReleaseOwl, including:
- Automated SAP S/4HANA & ABAP transport management
- Release pipelines with quality checks & ATC integration
- SAP BTP (CAP/RAP) CI/CD pipelines
- SAP Integration Suite - iFlow lifecycle automation
- SAC content lifecycle & transport orchestration
- Deployment sequencing, rollback automation & audit traceability
- Integrate CI/CD with:
- gCTS/CTS+
- SAP Cloud ALM (Transport analytics & monitoring)
- ChaRM/Focused Build (as required)
SAP Integration Suite (Replacing PI/PO)
- Automate lifecycle management of:
- Integration Automation
- API Management artifacts
- Event Mesh objects
- B2B/EDI artifacts
- Enable versioning, quality checks, automated deployments & testing frameworks for Integration Suite.
Non-SAP CI/CD
- Build pipelines for microservices, web apps, APIs, data engineering (ADF/Databricks), and mobile apps.
- Use Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI with reusable templates.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform/Bicep and configuration automation using Ansible.
3) DevSecOps & Compliance Knowledge
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines:
- SAST/DAST/SCA
- Container image scanning
- SBOM generation
- Secrets management via Key Vault/Vault
- Enforce Policy-as-Code and automated compliance for audits (SOX/GxP/internal audit).
4) SRE, Observability & Reliability Engineering
- Define and implement SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and service health scorecards.
- Implement observability across SAP & non-SAP using:
- Azure Monitor / App Insights
- Grafana / Prometheus
- EFK/ELK
- SAP Cloud ALM observability
- Drive MTTR reduction, release stability, and automated rollback strategies (canary/blue‑green).
5) Collaboration & Enablement
- Build DevOps Guild, COE practices, and reusable templates.
- Conduct training workshops for SAP COE, Integration, Data, and Application teams.
- Provide dashboards for Reporting Manager/CTO leadership on DevOps maturity & outcomes

Technical Skills
SAP DevOps
- Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in ReleaseOwl including -
- SAP S/4 & ABAP transport automation
- SAP Integration Suite (CPI) CI/CD pipelines
- SAP BTP CI/CD
- SAC content deployment
- Automated impact analysis
- Audit-ready release orchestration
- Knowledge of gCTS, CTS+, ChaRM/Focused Build, SAP Cloud ALM.
Non-SAP DevOps
- Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
- Docker, Kubernetes/AKS.
- Terraform/Bicep, Ansible.
Security Knowledge
- SAST, DAST, SCA tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, ZAP, Trivy).
- Key Vault/Vault, SBOM, code signing & artifact governance.
Observability
- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Azure Monitor, SAP Cloud ALM.
Experience
- 8 to 12 years of total experience; at least 5/6 years hands-on DevOps in large hybrid enterprises.
- Proven experience implementing DevOps frameworks from scratch (not only operations).
