đź’ˇAbout the Team
Poshmark’s Growth Cloud Platform team is at the center of how we acquire and activate new users. We move fast, ship often, and work directly with dedicated product managers, data analysts, and data scientists to build and iterate on features that connect millions of buyers and sellers. You’ll be embedded in a full-stack engineering team where your work ships to real users and your impact is measurable from day one
🎯 About the Role
As a Growth Engineering Intern, you’ll contribute to a meaningful project: building a listing quality evaluation system that integrates into Poshmark’s external sharing pipeline. This means working across the full stack — backend APIs, ML/AI integrations, and data instrumentation — to help the Growth team surface better listings to prospective buyers through social media, UTM-tagged links, and our GDM (Growth Demand Marketing) channels.
⚙️ What You’ll Do
- Contribute to backend API development using Ruby/JRuby and MongoDB to expose listing quality signals
- Integrate with ML/AI scoring services (or help prototype a lightweight scoring model) to evaluate listing quality
- Build event tracking and data pipeline instrumentation to measure CTR, conversion, and GMV on externally shared listings
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, data analysts, and data scientists to scope and ship features
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team standups
- Produce a technical design document and deliver a final project presentation to the team
💡What You’ll Bring
- Strong computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, system design basics
- Hands-on experience building backend or full-stack features (Ruby, Python, Java, or similar)
- Curiosity about growth, experimentation, and data-driven product development
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you can break down a vague problem, ask smart questions, and iterate
- Self-starter who takes ownership and communicates proactively
Bonus If You Have
- Familiarity with ML/AI APIs or scoring pipelines
- Experience with analytics, A/B testing, or attribution tracking
- Understanding of web technologies and cross-platform tracking (UTM parameters, pixels, etc.)
- Prior exposure to large-scale distributed systems
Standard Requirements For All Interns
- Demonstrated interest in Poshmark’s mission, community, or industry
- Current or rising senior enrolled in an accredited university, or recent college graduate
- Seniors should expect to graduate between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027
- Strong communication, collaboration, and curiosity
- Available to work a M-F 5-day work schedule between 8am-5pm
- Willing to commute 5x per week to PMHQ in Redwood City, CA
- No employment sponsorship required now or in the future
