Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kirulapone, Colombo. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on Huawei Cloud, working closely with the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Huawei Cloud services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment workflows
- Implement and manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance optimization of systems
- Implement strong security practices (network security, IAM, secrets management)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure quick resolution
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and release processes
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ Years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Huawei Cloud or similar cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Solid understanding of monitoring & logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Huawei Cloud-native services
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
- Experience managing high-traffic production systems
- Certification in cloud or DevOps technologies
