Duration: Long-term contract
Rate: $60/hr C2C (depending on experience)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage production-grade infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves working with modern platform services, automation tools, and containerized environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

Responsibilities
- Support and maintain production-grade infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
- Manage and administer Unix/Linux systems, including performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting
- Deploy and support distributed systems such as Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Astronomer
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Work with GCP services including networking, compute, and managed services
- Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes environments (OpenShift, GKE)
- Lead and support infrastructure migration initiatives (on-prem to cloud and hybrid models)
- Implement automation to improve operational efficiency
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including RCA
- Collaborate across teams to streamline troubleshooting and resolution efforts
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Unix/Linux system administration
- Hands-on experience supporting production environments across infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- Experience working with GCP and cloud-native services
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments
- Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Shell, Python, or Java)
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and system optimization skills
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for collaboration and incident response

- Proven ability to troubleshoot and restore services in high-pressure situations
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
- Experience with metrics tracking and system performance analysis
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
