Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Architect
Experience: 8–10 Years
Location: Chennai
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Cloud Architect with strong hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade cloud architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms like GCP and AWS
Lead end-to-end cloud solution implementation, including infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and monitoring
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation
Integrate DevSecOps practices including security scanning, compliance, and secrets management
Design and manage API management solutions using platforms like Apigee or Kong
Ensure robust network architecture including VPCs, VPNs, load balancing, and firewall configurations
Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premise or other cloud environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, product) to deliver business-aligned solutions
Ensure performance optimization, cost efficiency, and operational excellence of cloud environments
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or AWS
Expertise in Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bamboo
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
Experience with DevSecOps tools: HashiCorp Vault, Aqua Security, Twistlock
Strong knowledge of networking concepts: VPC, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing
Experience with API Management: Apigee, Kong
Monitoring & logging expertise: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
Scripting skills: Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Database knowledge: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cloud SQL
Familiarity with security protocols: OAuth2, JWT
Preferred Qualifications
Google Professional Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer certification
Experience with service mesh (Linkerd or similar)
Exposure to Cloud security tools like Cloud Armor, Cloudflare, Palo Alto
Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, PCI-DSS)
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and lead architectural decisions
Experience mentoring teams and driving best practices
