Role Overview
As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you’ll help design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems. You’ll support senior engineers in managing infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure
- Monitor cloud systems, performance, and uptime
- Support troubleshooting of cloud-based applications and services
- Help automate tasks using scripts (Python, Bash)
- Work with DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines
- Manage cloud resources (VMs, storage, networking)
- Follow security best practices and compliance standards
- Document configurations and processes
Required Skills
Core Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, HTTP, firewalls)
- Basic scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Understanding of virtualization and containers (Docker basics)
Tools & Concepts (Good to Have):
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Version control (Git)
- Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus)
