We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who thrives on building secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in powering a UK-based payroll platform that handles highly sensitive financial and employee data—where uptime, security, and compliance are critical.
What You’ll Do
Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure for a production-grade payroll systemÂ
Design secure multi-tenant environments with strict data isolation (Companies, Bureaus, Employees)Â
Implement and enforce RBAC, IAM policies, and least-privilege access controlsÂ
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless, zero-downtime deployments across teamsÂ
Handle secrets management, encryption, and compliance for sensitive PII (bank details, SSNs, etc.)Â
Monitor system performance, configure alerts, and respond to incidents using CloudWatch/DatadogÂ
Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure GDPR/UK compliance readinessÂ
Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and AI teams to streamline deploymentsÂ
Must-Have Skills
2–3 years of hands-on DevOps experience on AWS (production environment)Â
Strong expertise in:Â
EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAMÂ
ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatchÂ
Solid understanding of cloud security architecture:Â
RBAC, IAM policiesÂ
Encryption (at rest & in transit), SSL/TLSÂ
Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / SSM Parameter Store)Â
Experience with Docker and containerized deploymentsÂ
Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation (Infrastructure as Code)Â
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)Â
Familiarity with GDPR / UK data privacy regulationsÂ
Strong Linux and networking fundamentalsÂ
