Cloud Engineer (Azure/AWS)
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and compliance using native and third-party tools
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity
- Optimize cloud resources, configurations, and policies to align with best practices for governance, cost, and security
- Support cloud migrations from on-premises to Azure and AWS
- Serve as SME for cloud architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and service inquiries
- Collaborate with developers, network, cybersecurity, and IT teams to support enterprise initiatives
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, standards, and operational procedures
- Support infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization efforts
- Ensure adherence to governance policies including tagging and cost management standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6–8 years of relevant experience with 4–6 years in Azure and/or AWS administration
- Strong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and operations
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog or cloud-native equivalents
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications
Compensation: Up to $140,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
