About Curative
Curative is building the future of health insurance with a first-of-its-kind employer-based plan designed to remove financial barriers and make care truly accessible: one monthly premium with $0 copays and $0 deductibles*. Backed by our recent
$150M in Series B funding and valuation at
$1.275B, Curative is scaling rapidly and investing in AI-powered service, deeper member engagement, and a smart network designed for today’s workforce.
Our north star guides everything we do:
healthcare only works when people can actually use it. That belief drives every decision we make: from how we design our plan, support our members, to how we collaborate as a team.
If you want to do meaningful work with a team that moves fast, experiments boldly, and cares deeply, Curative is the place to do it. We’re growing fast and looking for teammates who want to help transform health insurance for the better.
About The Platform Team
The Platform team's mission is to create a highly productive environment for application developers to experiment and ship new business features and systems. We own the cloud infrastructure, developer experience tooling, CI/CD, and shared platform services that the rest of engineering builds on.
Our primary stack is
AWS, OpenTofu, Python, and Go.
The Role
As a Platform Engineer (L2), you'll own meaningful pieces of our infrastructure end-to-end — designing, deploying, and maintaining services that other engineers rely on every day. You'll work on projects on roughly 4-week horizons, ship infrastructure changes with minimal day-to-day guidance, and steadily deepen your specialization in cloud architecture, reliability, and developer tooling.
This role is a good fit if you've shipped production infrastructure at one or more prior organizations, have a working grasp of IaC fundamentals, and want to grow your platform engineering craft on a team that takes developer experience seriously. This is a fully remote position.
What You'll Do
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure with OpenTofu, with a focus on fault tolerance and operational simplicity.
- Own the lifecycle of services and subsystems — design, deployment, production support, and ongoing improvements.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines so application teams can ship safely and quickly.
- Investigate and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and performance issues, developing structured troubleshooting habits along the way.
- Integrate security and compliance considerations — including HIPAA — into infrastructure decisions.
- Participate in architecture design discussions, and help engineers across the org navigate cloud and automation frameworks.
- Contribute to broader platform reliability improvements and process optimization across engineering.
- Take on small-scale project leadership: scoping work, managing timelines, and coordinating with teammates.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for systems your team owns.
What We're Looking For
- A few years of professional experience as a software, platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineer, including time at more than one organization.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider; AWS preferred.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code — OpenTofu, Terraform, or equivalent.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python or Go, and willingness to work in both.
- Solid fundamentals in networking, storage, and monitoring.
- Ability to debug production issues independently and communicate clearly about what you found.
- Comfort participating in an on-call rotation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance) with compliance requirements like HIPAA.
- Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS) or other container orchestration.
- Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus).
- Background in developer experience or internal platform work.
