Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
About the Role
Insight Global is hiring a senior, hands‑on Azure engineer to support an enterprise client that is continuing to expand its Azure cloud environment. As an Azure Staff Cloud Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and operating Azure platforms at scale while partnering closely with DevOps, product, and data teams.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning Azure environments end‑to‑end — from architecture and infrastructure‑as‑code to networking, security, and CI/CD — and who wants to operate at a staff / senior technical level while still remaining hands‑on.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑scale Azure environments
- Partner with DevOps and application teams on cloud‑ready application architecture
- Collaborate with an Enterprise Azure team to align with standards, governance, and operational best practices
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — primarily using Bicep
- Architect Azure networking solutions, including Hub & Spoke topologies and Landing Zones
- Support CI/CD pipelines and source control using Azure DevOps
- Ensure Azure solutions are secure, scalable, observable, and cost‑effective
- Create technical documentation, architecture designs, and deployment plans
- Monitor and improve platform health using tools like Azure Monitor and Grafana (or similar)
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Stay current on Azure technologies and recommend improvements and optimizations
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure solutions
- Strong experience with Azure Infrastructure as CodeBicep preferred
- Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure CLI also acceptable
- Strong understanding of:
- Azure networking (VNETs, Hub & Spoke)
- Security and identity (RBAC, Entra ID / Azure AD)
- Azure Landing Zones
- Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, source control)
- Experience supporting scalable applications and/or data platforms in Azure
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to work onsite in Beachwood, OH four days per week
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (AZ‑204, AZ‑305, or equivalent)
- Experience with observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, or other third‑party tools
- Experience working in large enterprise or highly standardized cloud environments
- Exposure to data or analytics platforms in Azure
- Logistics or supply chain industry experience
Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity
- Opportunity to own and influence Azure architecture decisions
- Hands‑on work in a large‑scale, enterprise Azure environment
- Ability to operate at a staff‑level technical role without losing day‑to‑day engineering work
- Long‑term growth as the client continues expanding Azure adoption
