Join a high-impact team supporting a cutting-edge Missile Defense System at Redstone Arsenal. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure that directly supports national defense initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end cloud engineering efforts across Azure and hybrid environments
- Design and implement secure, resilient infrastructure solutions supporting mission-critical systems
- Build, configure, and manage virtual and physical environments across multi-platform ecosystems
- Drive performance monitoring, optimization, and incident resolution to ensure system reliability
- Support storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with federal security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable IT solutions for complex defense programs
What You Bring to the Table
- 10+ years of cloud engineering experience in enterprise or government environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including:
- Azure Active Directory & Group Policy
- Security and access controls
- Azure SQL Database & Blob Storage
- Hands-on experience with hybrid infrastructure (cloud + on-prem environments)
- Solid understanding of:
- O365 & SharePoint
- AWS & VMware environments
- Windows & Linux systems
- Proven experience with backup, storage, and disaster recovery technologies
Required Credentials
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- One or more of the following security certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ CE, SecurityX, CISM, or CISSP
- One or more of the following cloud certifications:
- Azure Administrator / Security Engineer / Solutions Architect
- AWS Solutions Architect or Developer
- CCSP or GCSA
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- (Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
