Summary
The Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer will serve as a key contributor to the firm’s enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations team, supporting both cloud-native and hybrid technology environments. This individual will oversee the administration, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft-based platforms across Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise server environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning, deployment, and support of enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure initiatives within a 24/7 enterprise setting.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft cloud environments, including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and integrations between cloud and on-premises systems
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams on cross-functional technical projects
- Design and support scalable Azure environments with an emphasis on resiliency, governance, monitoring, disaster recovery, and security best practices
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies and scripting tools
- Build and enhance automation processes related to monitoring, provisioning, reporting, and operational maintenance
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture standards, implementation procedures, and operational runbooks
- Produce infrastructure diagrams and technical schematics for cloud and enterprise environments
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex infrastructure and platform-related issues
- Monitor overall platform health, system availability, and user experience across cloud and hybrid systems
Technical Environment
- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure Policy, Defender platforms, and Identity Management
- Azure networking, compute, storage, monitoring, and security services
- Azure-native services including AKS, App Services, Functions, Event Hub, Key Vault, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and DevOps tooling
- Infrastructure automation technologies such as Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, and PowerShell
- Enterprise infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Windows Server environments, VMware, SAN platforms, backup technologies, and virtualization
- Familiarity with AWS or government cloud platforms considered beneficial
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supporting and engineering Microsoft enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies
- Strong background administering Azure cloud services, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Experience designing highly available, enterprise-grade cloud solutions across multiple regions
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks and cloud automation tools
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity governance, and access management principles
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement practical, scalable solutions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred
- Relevant Microsoft cloud certifications strongly preferred
Compensation
Competitive compensation package ranging from approximately $170,000 to $195,000, plus bonus eligibility.
