Job Summary:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on knowledge in AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will support deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure operations for scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Build and manage Docker images and container-based deployments
- Support deployment and operations of applications on Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- Work on CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins
- Help with infrastructure provisioning using Terraform / CloudFormation (basic to intermediate)
- Monitor system health and logs using CloudWatch / Prometheus / Grafana
- Support troubleshooting and incident resolution for production and staging environments
- Implement basic security best practices (IAM roles, security groups, secrets management)
- Work closely with developers to ensure smooth release cycles and stable environments
- Implement DevSecOps best practices by integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform basic vulnerability scanning for code, dependencies, and container images
- Ensure secure configuration of IAM roles, secrets management, and access controls
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Good understanding of Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, Config Maps, Secrets)
- Experience with EKS or any Kubernetes cluster setup
- Familiar with Linux administration and shell scripting (bash)
- Basic understanding of networking (DNS, Load Balancers, SSL, NAT, firewall/security groups)
- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows
Good to Have:
- Experience with Helm
- Knowledge of Terraform
- Experience with AWS ECS / Fargate / EKS
- Exposure to ArgoCD / Flux (GitOps)
- Understanding of WAF, ALB, autoscaling, and IAM best practices
- Knowledge of databases (RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL) and backup strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 year’s experience in DevOps / Cloud / SRE role
- AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate) and EKS Certificate is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting mindset
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to learn and take ownership
Location preference: Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore or Calicut.
