Job Title: DevOps Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a leading financial services client. The successful candidate will drive automation, streamline software delivery processes, and enhance the developer experience by building scalable CI/CD solutions that support multiple engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone who started their career in software development and transitioned into DevOps, with strong hands-on Python expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple development teams
- Automate software delivery processes to create a consistent, scalable, and reliable path to production
- Improve developer productivity and experience through automation, tooling, and process enhancements
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python, Bash, and DevOps best practices
- Collaborate with development teams to support code deployment, testing, monitoring, and production readiness
- Maintain and enhance cloud-native DevOps environments running on Kubernetes and AWS services
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Python development experience with the ability to build and maintain automation solutions
- Previous software development experience with a successful transition into DevOps engineering
- Expertise in Jenkins pipeline orchestration and Groovy-based Shared Libraries
- Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD workflows, and modern source control practices
- Advanced scripting skills using Python and Bash
- Experience with containerized environments and cloud-native application deployment practices
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, automated testing, and deployment pipelines
- Experience working with Maven, Gradle, npm, and yarn build systems
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within Agile development environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing applications or automation services using Flask
- Experience managing Jenkins workloads on Amazon EKS
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk and Datadog
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software delivery environments
- Financial services or asset management industry experience
