Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Implement and manage development, testing, and automation tools to improve software delivery efficiency.
- Provision, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
- Integrate cybersecurity best practices into infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to drive DevOps best practices and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance-related issues.
- Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
- Experience with Docker for containerization.
- Solid knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure is an added advantage.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Understanding of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and secure DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
