Roles & Responsibilities
Position Summary
The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and operate secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and platform automation to accelerate delivery while ensuring reliability, observability, and compliance. The role partners closely with engineering teams to standardize build/release processes, implement infrastructure as code (IaC), and enforce controls required in a regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
· 4–7+ years in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related software engineering roles.
· Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using one or more: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
· Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; Bicep/CloudFormation/Pulumi a plus) and configuration management (Ansible/Chef).
· Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable), including networking, IAM/RBAC, key management, and container services.
· Containerization & orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE), Helm/Kustomize, ingress, secrets, autoscaling, and rollout strategies (blue/green, canary).
· DevSecOps practices: integrate SAST/DAST/SCA, container image scanning/signing, SBOM, and policy enforcement into pipelines.
· Observability: implement logging, metrics, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
· Strong scripting in Python and/or Bash/PowerShell; Git workflows (PRs, code review, branch policies).
· Experience aligning releases with change management, audit needs, and separation of duties in a regulated environment.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills across build failures, deployment issues, and runtime incidents; strong communication and stakeholder management.
Desired Qualifications
· Experience with policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Conftest) and FinOps/cost optimization in CI/CD and runtime.
· Expertise in artifact management (Artifactory, Nexus, Azure Artifacts), package signing, and supply chain security (SLSA, Sigstore, Cosign).
· Experience implementing golden images, immutable infrastructure, and GitOps (Argo CD, Flux).
· Hands-on with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), API gateways, and zero-trust patterns.
· Familiarity with database release automation, data migrations, and schema versioning (Liquibase/Flyway).
· Knowledge of workflow schedulers and orchestrators (Airflow/Prefect/Temporal) for data and ML workloads.
· Prior experience in financial services or other regulated industries with strong governance expectations.
