About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer / Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the Cloud Connect team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, deploying, automating, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, cloud networking, and serverless technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CDK (must-have) and AWS CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and related DevOps tools.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS services including Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon VPC, and AWS Lambda.
- Design and troubleshoot cloud networking architectures, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, DNS, load balancers, and Transit Gateway configurations.
- Automate operational and deployment tasks using Python scripting.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments to ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement cloud best practices and governance standards.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and automation initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including:
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon S3
- Amazon VPC
- AWS Lambda
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- AWS CDK (mandatory)
- AWS CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts:
- VPC design and implementation
- Subnets and routing
- NAT gateways
- DNS
- Load balancing
- Transit Gateway
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python.
- Experience with cloud security, monitoring, logging, and operational best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to or working experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Developer) are advantageous.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Multi-cloud architecture experience.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
