Responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes that support business applications and systems. This role partners closely with Engineering, QA, Product, and IT teams to improve deployment efficiency, system reliability, scalability, and security across cloud and on premises environments. The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in streamlining operational processes, enhancing system observability, and supporting high availability architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Azure DevOps
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure environments including Azure and AWS with a focus on scalability, reliability, cost optimization, and high availability
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to support standardized and automated infrastructure deployments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across development, testing, and production environments
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application related issues across environments in a timely manner
- Automate operational and administrative tasks to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate deployment cycles
- Collaborate with software engineering and QA teams to improve application reliability, observability, and deployment readiness
- Maintain and support security best practices across cloud infrastructure, containers, and deployment pipelines
- Support containerization technologies and orchestration platforms including Docker
- Maintain documentation related to infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures
- Participate in on call support or incident response activities as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud engineering, or related technical roles
- Strong experience supporting Azure cloud environments and at least one additional cloud platform such as AWS or GCP
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, version control systems, and deployment automation practices
- Hands on experience with Azure DevOps, Docker, and Git based workflows
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as LogicMonitor, Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting microservices based architectures
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, governance, and compliance standards
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with serverless technologies and modern cloud native architectures
- Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Certified
- Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or related certifications preferred
