Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes that support the development and delivery of our RF and PNT products. You will collaborate closely with software, firmware, hardware, and quality engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software and firmware development lifecycles.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes across multiple environments.
- Manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures to improve reliability.
- Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve development workflows, tooling, and operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and assist with vulnerability management and remediation.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technology strategy and roadmap planning.
- Support product development environments used for RF, embedded, and PNT system testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Systems Engineering, or a related role.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
- Experience with source control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting embedded systems, RF technologies, telecommunications, or hardware-based products.
- Familiarity with Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies, GNSS, GPS, or synchronization systems.
- Experience with secure software development practices and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Knowledge of package managers such as Conan and uv
- Understanding of software repositories and deployment configuration management
- Familiarity with producing and analyzing dynamic and static analysis reports
- Experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Understanding of software quality assurance and automated testing methodologies.
