Position Overview
Cadence is seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to support, manage, and enhance its DevOps environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud technologies and a proven track record of working closely with R&D software development teams to optimize engineering productivity.
The role involves supporting global engineering teams, managing internal compute infrastructure, improving CI/CD processes, and maintaining cloud-based DevOps solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Improve R&D productivity and drive customer success initiatives.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Manage, operate, and enhance internal HPC compute farms and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize development environments and workflows.
- Maintain documentation, change management, incident management, and problem-resolution processes.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience architecting, managing, and improving DevOps environments.
- Experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments.
- 3+ years of experience working in globally distributed teams across multiple geographies.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working directly with R&D software engineering teams.
- Strong documentation, process management, and operational support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HPC (High-Performance Computing) environments.
- Experience with LSF or Slurm workload schedulers.
- Experience managing large-scale compute farms.
- Azure cloud administration and automation experience.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
