We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Platform Engineer to drive the design, development, and evolution of our Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
This role will be instrumental in building scalable, secure, and self-service cloud infrastructure that enables engineering teams to deliver software faster and more reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of the Internal Developer Platform.
- Design and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Develop self-service capabilities, deployment automation, and developer tooling to improve engineering productivity.
- Define platform standards, governance policies, and best practices for infrastructure and application deployment.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to enhance platform reliability and compliance.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Mentor platform engineers and contribute to technical leadership across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms and developer self-service solutions.
- Knowledge of service meshes, platform security, and multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
