Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer – DevOps to lead the design, development, automation, and continuous evolution of enterprise DevOps platforms supporting Williams-Sonoma's global eCommerce ecosystem. This role combines deep expertise in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and software engineering to accelerate software delivery while ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
As a technical leader, you will design and enhance modern DevOps platforms, build automation-first engineering solutions, mentor development teams, and enable self-service capabilities that improve developer productivity across eCommerce websites, mobile applications, retail stores, supply chain, and contact center platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise CI/CD platforms and DevOps tooling.
- Design automation solutions across digital platforms.
- Partner with Architecture teams to evolve DevOps platforms.
- Guide engineering teams through the SDLC.
- Develop DevOps applications using Python, Java, Groovy, and Shell.
- Improve automation and self-service capabilities.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD systems.
- Support SRE and Release Management.
- Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, Python, Groovy, Java, Shell, Maven, Git/GitHub Enterprise, and Node.js.
- Strong enterprise architecture, troubleshooting, leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
