Our challenge
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help build, maintain, and improve our software delivery infrastructure and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating deployment pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, improving system reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver high-quality software faster and more efficiently.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Manage cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across production and non-production environments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline release processes.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, system outages, and environment-related problems.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of infrastructure and applications.
- Support containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Maintain security best practices, patching, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Document infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure role.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture concepts.
