About The Role
Vantor is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers modern web applications and data platforms. In this role, you will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to build reliable cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You will collaborate with software engineers, architects, and clients to improve platform reliability, security, performance, and operational efficiency while driving automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity management, network security, and compliance controls.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and cost, implementing improvements where needed.
- Automate operational tasks to improve scalability, consistency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and platform enhancements.
- Implement observability solutions, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Understanding of networking, security, IAM, DNS, load balancing, and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Cloud-native monitoring services.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, or equivalent).
- Experience with Docker and container security.
- Knowledge of GitOps workflows and deployment tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies and cloud-native security practices.
- Experience supporting production-scale distributed systems.
- Understanding of cost optimization and cloud governance.
