Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role that owns the architecture, reliability, scalability, security, and cost of Rezolve.ai’s production platform across Vercel, Supabase, Azure AKS, Azure Postgres, GCP Compute, and adjacent services. You will design and operate infrastructure that is auto-scaling, auto-healing, observable, and compliant by default, and you will lead the team’s transition from manual ops to AI-assisted and agent-driven operations — where routine investigation, remediation, capacity tuning, and incident triage are increasingly performed by AI agents under engineering oversight.
You will also be a customer-facing technical voice: engaging with enterprise prospects and customers on architecture deep-dives, security posture, and deployment options.
This is ~80% an individual contributor role — you will be hands-on in code, IaC, pipelines, and production systems daily. The remaining ~20% is cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Security, Product, Sales, and Customer Success. Strong ownership of timelines and a track record of consistently delivering complex platform/infra initiatives on schedule is essential and will be weighed heavily in the hiring decision.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure, Architecture & Multi-Cloud Operations
· Own the end-to-end architecture of the Rezolve.ai platform across Vercel (edge/app), Supabase (auth, Postgres, edge functions), Azure AKS (containerized workloads), managed Postgres, and GCP Compute.
· Build and maintain auto-scaling, auto-healing infrastructure: horizontal/vertical scaling policies, pod/node autoscaling on AKS, self-healing controllers, circuit breakers, graceful degradation, and capacity headroom modeling.
· Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred) as the single source of truth — no manual cloud console changes in production.
· Design for multi-region availability, disaster recovery, and data residency, with measured RPO/RTO and regularly rehearsed failover drills.
· Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, and FinOps / cloud cost governance across all clouds.
CI/CD & Release Engineering
· Define, build, and continuously optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / equivalent) covering build, test, security scan, artifact signing, environment promotion, and rollback.
· Implement modern release strategies: blue-green, canary, progressive delivery, feature flags, and automated rollback triggers tied to SLO breach.
· Embed automated quality and security gates (SAST, SCA, secret scanning, container scanning, IaC scanning, license checks) into every pipeline.
· Reduce mean lead time and change-failure rate, and publish DORA-style metrics for engineering.
Observability, Alerting & Auto-Healing
· Build first-class observability across metrics, logs, traces, and events (Datadog / Grafana / Prometheus / OpenTelemetry / Azure Monitor / GCP Operations or equivalent).
· Define and own platform SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; tie alerting to user-impacting signals, not noise.
· Implement auto-healing workflows — automated remediation for known failure modes (restart, drain, reroute, scale, failover) with audit trails.
· Lead incident response: on-call rotations, runbooks, blameless RCAs, and conversion of every recurring incident into automation
Security, Privacy & Compliance
· Own platform-level controls required for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and other certifications relevant to enterprise and regulated customers.
· Partner with Security and Legal to maintain control evidence, audit readiness, vendor risk reviews, DPIAs, and data residency commitments.
· Enforce least-privilege IAM, secrets management, key rotation, network segmentation, encryption at rest/in transit, and supply-chain security (SBOM, signed builds).
· Ensure processes are followed — not just documented — across change management, access reviews, vulnerability management, backup/restore, and incident response.
AI-Native Platform Engineering
· Treat AI as a core capability of the platform team: use AI coding assistants, agentic copilots, and LLM-driven tooling (e.g., Claude Code and similar) to accelerate IaC authoring, runbook generation, log/trace analysis, alert triage, and incident summarization.
· Build internal agentic workflows for routine ops — cost anomaly investigation, drift detection, IAM review, dependency upgrades, capacity tuning — with humans in the loop for high-blast-radius changes.
· Evaluate, pilot, and roll out new AI/DevOps tooling; set the bar for safe, auditable AI use in production operations.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
· Engage directly with enterprise customers and prospects in architecture reviews, security questionnaires, and solution discussions; present Rezolve.ai’s platform, compliance posture, and deployment options with credibility.
· Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to unblock enterprise deals and global expansion.
· Continuously scout, propose, and pilot new tools, processes, and platform innovations; champion a culture of automation and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
· 8–10 years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE roles, including time as a tech lead.
· Production experience operating workloads on at least two of: Azure (AKS strongly preferred), GCP, AWS, Vercel, Supabase.
· Strong hands-on with Kubernetes (AKS preferred), containers, service meshes, and ingress/edge platforms.
· Deep experience with Terraform (or equivalent IaC) and GitOps-style workflows.
· Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar; familiarity with progressive delivery tooling.
· Strong experience with Postgres at scale — performance, HA, backups, PITR, and migrations (Supabase / Azure / self-managed).
· Hands-on with observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, or GCP Cloud Operations).
· Demonstrated, recent use of AI engineering tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, agentic assistants) to materially improve infra automation, troubleshooting, or productivity — bring concrete examples.
· Strong grasp of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA controls in a cloud SaaS context, including evidence collection and auditor engagement.
· Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting architecture and security to enterprise customers.
· Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and deliver complex platform/infra programs on committed timelines — prior track record of consistently shipping on schedule is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience operating multi-tenant, multi-region SaaS with stringent availability and data-residency commitments.
· Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400) or equivalent AWS/GCP certifications.
· Experience with FinOps, cost attribution, and unit-economics work.
· Exposure to building internal developer platforms (IDPs), policy-as-code (OPA/Conftest), and signed/attested supply chains (SLSA, Sigstore).
· Experience integrating AI agents into ops workflows (alert triage bots, autoremediation agents, AI-assisted RCAs).
