DevOps Engineer (Copado / Azure DevOps / Salesforce)
Remote 12+ month contract, EST hours
This is a DevOps Engineer opportunity supporting a greenfield legal technology project focused on improving release management, deployment automation, and DevOps processes. This person will be responsible for optimizing the current environment, managing secure application releases, and supporting Salesforce DevOps workflows using Copado and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps engineer who can build scalable processes, work closely with development teams, and ensure secure deployments for sensitive business data.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support a greenfield DevOps implementation within a legal technology environment
- Rework and optimize current deployment and release processes
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
- Manage Salesforce DevOps processes through Copado
- Support release management, rollback strategies, and deployment governance
- Partner with developers on code-heavy builds and integrations
- Ensure secure deployment practices around sensitive legal/business data
- Improve scalability and efficiency as users are added to the platform
Must-Have Skills
- Strong DevOps engineering experience
- Copado experience
- Azure DevOps experience
- Salesforce DevOps / Salesforce release management background
- CI/CD pipeline development and optimization
- Release management and deployment automation experience
- Experience designing rollback strategies
- Understanding of application security and data protection best practices
- Ability to collaborate closely with software development teams
Nice to Have
- GitHub / GitHub Actions experience
- MuleSoft exposure
- Legal or financial services industry experience
- Experience building DevOps processes in a greenfield environment
- Experience with Salesforce governance models
Not a Fit If
- Only infrastructure/cloud DevOps with no application release experience
- No Salesforce DevOps or Copado exposure
- Limited experience owning release processes or pipeline improvements
The salary range for this position is 40/hr to 50/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
