About The Position
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of our cloud environments through continuous assessment, remediation, and governance. In this role, you will work closely with security architects, platform teams, and application teams to identify security risks, implement cloud security guardrails, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance across AWS environments. You will leverage CSPM tools, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices to drive proactive cloud security and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
- Execute cloud security assessments and analyze findings from CSPM tools such as Wiz.
- Identify, investigate, and remediate security vulnerabilities and cloud misconfigurations across AWS environments.
- Implement and maintain cloud security guardrails using Service Control Policies (SCPs), IAM controls, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Integrate security controls, compliance checks, and vulnerability validations into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform remediation activities across AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, networking, and data services.
- Conduct validation testing to ensure security fixes have been implemented effectively.
- Verify remediation closure through CSPM tools, security reports, and evidence-based validation.
- Automate security operations and remediation workflows using Python and Bash scripting.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, platform engineers, and application teams to improve cloud security posture.
- Support cloud governance initiatives and ensure adherence to security best practices and organizational standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud security monitoring, compliance, and risk management processes.
Expertise You Will Bring
- 5–10 years of experience in AWS Cloud Security, Cloud Infrastructure Security, or DevSecOps.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, VPC, Security Groups, and Cloud Security controls.
- Experience working with CSPM tools such as Wiz and conducting security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and posture management.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, risk management, governance, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience implementing security guardrails using AWS SCPs, IAM policies, and cloud governance controls.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD security integration, DevSecOps practices, and automated security validation.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting for security automation and operational tasks.
- Experience performing vulnerability remediation, validation testing, and compliance verification activities.
- Understanding of container and Kubernetes security, particularly within Amazon EKS environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across security, platform, and application teams.
