Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of IT or security engineering experience, specifically with cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure security controls, IAM, network security, encryption, and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and regulatory standards such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, NIST, ISO 27001
- Certifications such as CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer preferred
- Proven troubleshooting skills, detail orientation, and strong communication abilities
- Authorization to work legally in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Responsibilities
- Implement, operate, and manage cloud security controls across Azure and AWS environments
- Support secure cloud deployments, applying standards, configurations, and guardrails to safeguard sensitive data
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments of cloud workloads, identifying and addressing gaps
- Configure and maintain security tools for monitoring, detection, and incident response, including SIEM integrations
- Manage access controls, encryption, key management, and permissions to protect data in transit and at rest
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to remediate security findings and reduce misconfigurations
- Support vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security validation activities
- Participate in incident response and investigations related to cloud security events
- Provide audit support by demonstrating compliance controls and security posture
- Stay informed on emerging cloud security threats, industry best practices, and relevant compliance standards
