We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure and platform engineering team. This individual will partner closely with the Principal Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native solutions with a focus on automation, deployment standardization, and cloud governance. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented engineer who thrives in multi-cloud environments and is passionate about building scalable, vendor-agnostic cloud platforms that improve operational efficiency and accelerate delivery.
This role will play a critical part in defining cloud best practices, driving infrastructure automation initiatives, and ensuring consistency across AWS and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environments.
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to develop vendor-agnostic cloud strategies and deployment frameworks.
- Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD deployment processes to improve speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead efforts around environment setup, standardization, and configuration management across development, testing, and production environments.
- Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, security controls, and operational best practices.
- Evaluate existing cloud environments and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide guidance on architecture and implementation decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall cloud engineering strategy and roadmap.
- Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong experience designing and implementing cloud architecture solutions in enterprise environments.
- Proven experience automating infrastructure deployments and operational processes.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Experience developing scalable, reliable, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Ability to evaluate challenges and develop innovative, practical solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar).
- Microsoft Azure Certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar).
- Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Payments, or FinTech environments.
- Exposure to multi-cloud strategy, cloud migration initiatives, or platform engineering practices.
- Experience working with infrastructure automation and modern DevOps methodologies.
