Position: Cloud Engineer (mostly AWS)
Pay Rate: $60-70/hr
Duration: 6-12 months (good chance for perm!)
Location: ATL, Columbus-GA, Nashville or Birmingham (3 days onsite per week)
Focus: Multi-cloud engineering (NOT BAU work)
Core Requirements
- Strong experience in:
- Azure (current environment)
- AWS (target expansion)
- 3–5+ years experience (ideally closer to 5–7 years)
- Experience with:
- Automation tools (Ansible, Terraform or equivalents)
- Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Cloud architecture patterns (vendor-agnostic mindset)
- Ability to:
- Build multi-cloud strategy
- Standardize deployments across environments
- Design automation frameworks
- Help define governance across Azure + AWS
Key Expectations
- Partner with internal SME (Marcus) to:
- Expand beyond Azure-only environment
- Introduce AWS capability strategically
- Work on:
- Automation of deployments
- Environment setup/standardization
- Cloud governance consistency
