JOB DESCRIPTION
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Good understanding of DevOps concepts, practices, containerization
- Hands on experience in CI/CD pipeline automation
- Experience in Sonar, code coverage tools like Jacoco and configuring them in CI/CD pipeline
- Experience in Build/Deployment toolsets - Bitbucket, GIT, Maven, Teamcity, UCD
- Experience building Docker images
- Experience in deployment management in Openshift POD’s, Openshift memory, CPU analysis/management, Route creation in OpenShift, Enabling security in OpenShift like SSL, TLS etc.
Good-to-Have
- Knowledge on Java
- Shell scripting
- Logs management in ELK stack
- Monitoring, Alerting For example, AppDynamics
- Cloud Engineering
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 CI/CD pipeline development and integration - Creation of scripts along with writing and configuring TeamCity jobs, UCD components for automated deployments to multiple environments.
2 Troubleshoot problems across different Technology layers such as networking, database and applications to identify and correct operational problems.
3 Setting up Containers in a Cloud environment, which includes being knowledgeable in Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
4 Work as a team member or individual on multiple projects and assignments relating to application initiatives along with meeting committed delivery dates.
5 Proposing and implementing enhancements to improve system performance, availability and resiliency
6 Perform general systems maintenance tasks such as but not limited to managing disk space usage, changing passwords, and applying patches.
7 Work closely with systems administrators and engineers to meet team goals and improve processes and apply best practices.
8 Managing development workflows using revision control such as Bitbucket.
9 Participate in Pre-Production tasks such as change request creation, deployment plan preparation etc and Production deployment activities for application releases
