We are looking for Devops Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to be based at our Mangalore office in India, and to be part of our growth story.
As a DevOps engineer at EG A/S, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with a diverse team of experts, and driving impactful change in the world of software development and operations. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, leverage the latest tools and methodologies, and contribute to the success of our innovative products.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Working closely with software engineers, coaching and helping them with: working with the GIT version control system (GitHub), including pull requests and branching models,
- Containerization and Orchestration:
- Design, build, and optimize Docker containers for seamless application deployment.
- Use and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Container Orchestration and Networking:
- Implement and manage Kubernetes deployment solutions.
- Optimize pod scheduling, scaling, and load balancing within Kubernetes clusters.
- CI/CD for Docker and Kubernetes:
- Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines specifically tailored for Dockerized applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD into the software development lifecycle
- Monitoring and Logging for Containers:
- Implement monitoring solutions for real-time visibility into containerized environments.
- Configure logging systems to capture and analyze container logs for troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Security Best Practices:
- Implement and enforce security best practices for Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments for containerized applications.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to understand application requirements.
- Document Docker and Kubernetes configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer
- Should be familiar with below tools and technologies:

- Jira / Confluence
- GIT
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- GitHub
- GitHub Actions
Good to have:
- Understanding DevSecOps and tools/techniques that can provide additional security measures on the delivery platform.
- Exposure to using AI in software development
- Azure DevOps
- Artifactory
- SonarQube
- Scripting in Groovy or Bash or Powershell
- Mentoring colleagues from the team and the developers
- Good communication and presentation skills
